I've just chucked up the first version of my $1 jam game MAGBEAT.

MagBeast is a rhythm game with a heavy focus on the player playing notes that are actually in the song, as opposed to broadly following one specific instrument or track. It's kind of part finger drumming practice tool, part rhythm game, part fidget spinner :)

Currently there is a limited learning path that will take you from quarter kicks to some interesting groove patterns with minor finger independence.

All the music has been made within the jam period, along with the game itself, and is very "Alpha". However, I fully intend on producing more interesting beats, tracks, and lessons going forward and to support this game well beyond the jam to hopefully make it something cool that people will want to play :)

Obviously as with any alpha/jam game, you can expect there to be some bugs and rough edges, however these will get cleaned up over the lifecycle of the project.
