Controls

  • A + D - Move left and right
  • Space - Jump
  • CTRL - Crouch/Slide
  • E - Pickup/Use
  • Right Click - Aim
  • Left Click - Throw Spear (While Aiming)
  • Q/E - Change spear type

Intro

This is a prototype developed for round 1 of the 2025 GDKO game jam. The objective of this round is:

Create a core mechanic and a secondary mechanic that can be used for progression.

For my project I included the following mechanics:

Core Mechanic

The core mechanic is basic platforming and traversal. 

Secondary Mechanic for Progression

The secondary mechanic is an upgradable magic spear that can be used to gain access to higher levels and to bypass environmental hazards.


Asset Disclosure

  • All art assets were created during the jam with the exception of some block out textures and UI textures from KenneyNL's CC0 asset packs
  • All the systems were also created during the jam period, only minor code re-use involving some shader stuff for highlighting objects and such. 
  • No GenAI was used.

A and D move left and right, the rest of the controls are tutorialized with signs in the prototype as you need them.
